Elder Scrolls Online update 2.23 deploys crash fixes

ZeniMax Online Studios has summoned a new update for Elder Scrolls Online. This latest patch brings the popular MMO up to version 7.1.8 which will appear as update 2.23 for console players.
As the developer points out, this is small patch that adds nothing new in terms of content, features, or events. However, you will need to download and install ESO 2.23 in order to log in and continue playing.
Originally released back in 2014, The Elder Scrolls Online continues to hold down its status as one of the biggest MMORPGs currently around. In 2021, the game grew even bigger with its latest expansion, Blackwood. An enhanced version of ESO was also released on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S offering a range of visual and performance upgrades.
The Elder Scrolls Online Update 2.3 (v7.1.8) Patch Notes
Dungeons & Group Content – Rockgrove Trial
Fixed an issue where you were not receiving Reward Coffers when completing Rockgrove Trial. Previously, completing the quest would reset the timer for being able to receive a reward regardless of if you received a reward.
Note: This was fixed in the last incremental patch but was not noted.
Dungeons & Group Content – Asylum Sanctorum Trial
Your character will no longer inexplicably die to environmental damage during the fight with Saint Olms.
Miscellaneous – General
Fixed a crash that could occur when fighting Dragons in Elsweyr. Note there is another similar crash that can still occur and will be fixed in a future update.
Google Stadia – General
The Keyboard and Mouse UI no longer indicate “High” as a valid key.
Here’s what Reggie had to say in his review of the latest ESO expansion:
“Blackwood is a brilliant throwback to Oblivion, but it feels like a starting point for a grander tale. Players going into Blackwood expecting a full-fat expansion experience will feel slightly letdown. Its dedication to 2006s Cyrodill shines through with the spaced out content making the overall zone feel a little empty. Still, the content itself is a job well done, ticking all the boxes to keep players entertained, but new features like Blackwood’s companions work best when revisiting older zones.”
